Prague Historical Centre: tour guide and landmarks

Prague offers several urban ensembles to connect with the course of the stay. Crossing the city to check monuments is less useful than understanding neighborhoods and keeping time for their streets and perspectives.

What distinguishes this place

Three historical groups

The Old Town, the Little City and the New City illustrate a development between the 11th and 18th centuries. The dossier highlights Prague's cultural and architectural influence since the Middle Ages.

Major landmarks

The castle, St.Guy Cathedral and Charles Bridge belong to the monuments cited by UNESCO. Charles IV's role in the 14th century was important in the reading of this whole.

Preparation tips Azatour

Build a realistic visit

Organize by river and neighbourhood

Place the desired monuments on a map and group them according to the shore and the relief. A walk to the castle did not have the same effort as a circuit in a flatter terrain. Plan a transportation solution according to the needs of the group.

Distinguish walking and paying spaces

The courts, streets and interiors follow different rules. Check the places included in a visit to the castle and any additional tickets. Keep a margin for controls and building changes.

To be confirmed before booking

  • Check the slope to the castle district
  • Read the inclusions of circuits and tickets
  • Control the return to transport since the last stage

Search the current manager from the links in the official folder. Confirm schedules, rates, access and possible closures; these evolutionary elements are not presented here as guarantees.

Useful issues

Does the historic centre correspond to the only Old Town?

No. The property includes several ensembles, including the Petite Ville and the New City.

How to integrate this visit into the budget of the stay?

Add ticket, transfer, guide, meals and necessary expenses. Check what your formula already includes. Keep the same motto to compare the options and distinguish the cost of stay from that of this one visit.
