Machu Picchu Historical Shrine: Tour Guide and Markers
Machu Picchu brings together an inca heritage and a mountain environment. The organization must start from the authorized route and from the confirmed access, then integrate the return and sufficient margin into the stay in Peru.

What distinguishes this place
Architecture and relief
The UNESCO site is located at an altitude of approximately 2,430 metres. Terraces, walls and ramps are integrated into a mountain ridge, in a tropical forest environment.
A cultural and natural heritage
The inscription is mixed: it recognizes both the Inca heritage and the natural setting on the eastern slope of the Andes. The surroundings and habitats are not simply a decor.

Preparation tips Azatour
Build a realistic visit
Reserve in the right order
Identify the required circuit, slot and documents first, and then coordinate the necessary transportation. Do not assume that an arrival in the region guarantees an entry on any route. Keep a copy of each confirmation offline.
Building a realistic return
Add transfers and expectations to the visit time. A tight connection that same night leaves little margin in case of incident. Adapt the walk to the group and ask a healthcare professional for advice if the altitude raises a particular question.
To be confirmed before booking
- Confirm circuit and identity on tickets
- Provide for transfers in both directions
- Check bag and equipment restrictions
Search the current manager from the links in the official folder. Confirm schedules, rates, access and possible closures; these evolutionary elements are not presented here as guarantees.
Useful issues
Why is it a mixed site?
Because UNESCO registration recognizes cultural and natural values, not just inca constructions.
How to integrate this visit into the budget of the stay?
Add ticket, transfer, guide, meals and necessary expenses. Check what your formula already includes. Keep the same motto to compare the options and distinguish the cost of stay from that of this one visit.
